Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon insists Real Madrid ‘are not invincible’ and described Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘lethal assassin’.
The Old Lady clash with the European champions in the quarter finals of the Champions League and will be looking to avenge last season’s 4-1 final defeat in Cardiff.
“Real Madrid are favourites for the entire competition and are stronger than us, but no team is invicible,” Buffon told an interview with Marca.
“Of course, they are very difficult to beat but we must try to achieve this as Juventus are equally a great club who win title after title and we must use all this experience to advance.
“My admiration for Ronaldo is complete, he is so pragmatic with how he has adapted his game, it shows such intelligence and I admire him so much.
“He has changed his position, he does not use as much energy as before but he is still truly lethal in front of goal – he is an assassin!”
