Valencia rule out Soler exit

Real Madrid are eyeing a deal for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler, but Los Che will reportedly not negotiate below his €80m release clause.

The highly-rated 21-year-old signed a new deal with Los Che in May last year until June 2021 with a buyout clause which is reported by Super Deporte as standing at €80m.

Soler only made his professional debut in December 2016 but has since made 54 appearances – including starting 20 matches this campaign.

Valencia are keen to strengthen their squad this summer but numerous reports have suggested they may need to sell first-team players, even if they clinch Champions League qualification.

Soler is said to be a ‘cornerstone’ of the future project at the Mestalla and they would not be willing to sanction his exit.
