Sevilla forward Nolito has reiterated his side’s achievement of still competing in two cup competitions alongside their league campaign.
Los Rojiblancos are in next month’s Copa del Rey final against Barcelona while they qualified for their Champions League quarter finals for the first time in 60 years.
“We can see how difficult it is to be fighting in three competitions,” Nolito told Cadena Ser.
“Madrid are only fighting in the Champions League, Atletico Madrid are out of the Champions League and the Copa del Rey but we are still there.
“There are many fans who tell me they have been going to games for three or four decades and this is the first time we have been at this stage in the Champions League.
“Such progress is really important for the fans and they are delighted with the position we are in at the moment.
“Barcelona? It would be better for us is Messi does not play but they are one of the strongest teams in the world, but we are ready for the challenge.”
