Barcelona defender Lucas Digne is set for three weeks on the side-lines after sustaining a thigh injury on international duty, it has been confirmed.
The French full-back, primarily a deputy for Jordi Alba, sustained the injury in a 3-2 defeat to Colombia on Friday in Paris, but remained in the international squad.
The extent of the 24-year-old’s problems were revealed by a scan on Wednesday and he will now miss both legs of the Champions League tie with former club Roma.
Digne has played just 18 times for the Blaugrana this season with B team left-back Marc Cucurella now set to be temporarily promoted to the first-team squad.
