Ajax winger Justin Kluivert should turn down advances from Manchester United to join Barcelona, according to his father.
Patrick was a distinguished striker at the Camp Nou – netting 122 goals in 257 appearances – with his 18-year-old son tipped for a future move to a European giant.
“I'm very proud of him, he's doing very well at Ajax," Kluivert is quoted as saying by Omnisport.
“He's now a first XI player and if he plays like this in the long-term, he could be an important player in the future.
“Of course, I prefer that he goes to Barcelona but in football everything can happen. He's an adult, he can make his own decisions but he's already said it's a dream for him to play for Barcelona.
“But you never know in football.”
Kluivert has scored 10 goals in 50 appearances for the Amsterdam-based club, whom he helped reach last season’s Europa League final.
