Concern for Oblak groin injury

Jan Oblak has returned to Atletico Madrid amid concerns regarding his fitness and will not feature in Slovenia’s friendly with Belarus.

The Slovenian missed both legs of the Europa League clash with Lokomotiv Moscow this month due to a groin injury with fresh concerns that the shot-stopper has suffered a relapse.

Los Rojiblancos confirmed over the weekend that the former Benfica goalkeeper had returned to Madrid ‘to be assessed’ regarding his injury.

Argentine shot-stopper Axel Werner stood in for the stricken Oblak after the sale of Miguel Angel Moya to Real Sociedad in January.
