Montella hopes on Roma clash

Sevilla Coach Vincenzo Montella ‘dreams’ of facing old club Roma in the last four or the final of the Champions League this season.

The two clubs are among the outsiders in the quarter finals, facing Bayern Munich and Barcelona respectively, but Montella remains hopeful.

“When you reach this stage of the competition, every match is extremely difficult and Bayern are one of the world’s elite clubs,” Montella told RAI Radio.

“I’d love to face Roma in either the semi-final or the final, that would be a dream.

“To beat Manchester United? It was an amazing feeling, a unique emotion considering the stature of the opposition and the stage of the competition.

“Managing Italy? That would be a dream of mine, and I would love for it to come true one day.

“However, I’m very happy at Sevilla, I have another year on my deal here and want to continue, so Italy is a distant thought.”
