Paul Pogba admits he thought Lionel Messi was ‘very small’ on first glance but quickly realised the Barcelona star ‘does things that no-one else does.’
Pogba faced Messi in the 2015 Champions Leauge Final, when Barca beat the Frenchman’s Juventus 3-1, and was heavily linked with the Blaugrana before ultimately re-joining Manchester United two years ago.
“The first time I was with Messi was in the Champions League Final, and I remember he seemed very small to me,” he told TyC Sports.
“Messi and football are two things that go together, I admire watching him. He does things that no-one else does.
“He has a stature that no-one else has. He’s something special, everything about him is special.
“He’s a player who has football inside of him and feels it. He’s incredible.”
