‘Pogba return possible’ – Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has not ruled out Paul Pogba returning to the Manchester United line-up against Sevilla in the Champions League.

The French midfielder sustained an injury in Friday’s training session and was ruled out of the weekend victory at home to Liverpool, and now faces a race against time to be fit for the Spanish side.

“Pogba did train after you left,” Mourinho told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“Can he play against Sevilla? I don't know, we don't know yet, but he trained a little bit after you left.

“Do I have the ideal team for Champions League success? Not yet, but when a team reaches the last eight anything is possible.

“Now I have only one name in my mind: it is Sevilla. I know that it is very difficult to go through.

“If we go through to the quarter-final draw, it doesn't matter the opponent – for us or for Sevilla – will always be one of the big names in European football, but we will try.”

Anthony Martial and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both returned to United training on Monday but Phil Jones, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo were all absent.
