Moron ‘has an extraordinary future’

Real Betis striker Loren Moron could ‘enjoy an extraordinary career’ if he continues to develop at his current rate, insists Quique Setien.

The Betis Coach hailed the impact of the striker, who now has five goals in six first-team appearances after netting a brace in Monday night’s victory over Alaves.

“If Loren continues like this, he will enjoy an extraordinary career,” Setien told reporters in his post-match press conference.

“Sometimes you have doubts over first-team players performance or fitness and then you have to look at your younger sides to be given their chance, and for us it has worked so far.

“Loren is on course to have a fantastic career and he adds a lot to this side, as do other youth players such as Francis (Guerrero) and Junior – the kids have performed phenomenally, beyond their experience level.

“Against Alaves it was a difficult match for both teams and it was a different, practical match for both teams.

“It was nice to score three goals and win three points and sometimes you need to be more practical to do this.”
