Sergi Roberto has extended his contract with Barcelona until June 2022 with a new release clause of €500m included, it has been confirmed.
A La Masia youth graduate, Roberto made his debut for the Blaugrana in November 2010 before becoming a mainstay in the first team squad from 2013.
The 25-year-old has made 185 appearances for the Catalan giants and scored seven goals, with the most famous being the sixth goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last season.
Roberto has won 18 titles with the club including two Champions League crowns and four La Liga titles, with his release clause rising significantly from €40m.
The deal had been reported in January but the versatile player had now officially put pen to paper for the Catalan giants.
