Atletico Madrid have reportedly entered the race to sign Roma midfielder and Italy international Alessandro Florenzi.
The 26-year-old’s contract at the Serie A club expires in June 2019, while Barcelona and Juventus have also been linked with a move.
A product of the Giallorossi’s youth system, Florenzi is said by Il Messaggero to have not yet begun discussions over a renewal of his deal with his hometown club.
Roma are said to be keen on offering the midfielder €3.5m in wages per season – around double his current deal – but may have to satisfy UEFA’s Financial Fair Play obligations before doing so.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also mentioned as keeping an eye on developments.
