Spanish PM Rajoy “doesn’t want Neymar”

Spanish prime minister and Real Madrid fan Mariano Rajoy does not want them to sign Neymar as he does not believe he is better than the BBC.

A number of Madrid players and representatives have publicly stated they would welcome the former Barcelona forward to the Bernabeu, amid media reports of a future move.

“People have doubted Bale, Benzema and Cristiano but people need more perspective,” Rajoy told an interview with Diario AS.

“The truth is I would not like to see Madrid sign Neymar, I do not think he is an upgrade on the players we have that have won a lot for us.

“The Champions League? Logically, PSG should give us a thrashing due to form but anything can happen, and the Champions League is Madrid’s competition.

“This is the same team of Madrid players who have won three of the last four Champions League crowns and I believe we can defeat PSG.”
