Moron: Keeping my feet on the ground

Real Betis striker Loren Moron is vying to ‘keep his feet on the ground’ after scoring three goals in his opening two first-team matches.

The 24-year-old scored the winner at Deportivo La Coruna a week after his debut against Villarreal, when he scored both goals in a 2-1 victory.

“I’m keeping my feet on the ground,” Moron told Cadena Cope after Monday’s win.

“After scoring two goals on my debut, your only aim is to keep your place in your team, keep taking your chances and to extend my scoring streak if I am lucky enough to play again.

“My goals are good of course but this is the result of the Coach, Quique Setien, and because of the hard work of the team – I am hugely grateful.”

Moron has also been prolific with Betis B in Spain’s regionalised third tier, netting 16 times in 23 appearances this season and 29 in 63 since his debut two seasons ago.
