Atletico Madrid have been scouting RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner with a view to signing him this summer, according to reports.
Diario AS cites a report in German newspaper Bild which states Los Rojiblancos have earmarked the 21-year-old as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann, who may leave this summer.
The German international has hit 31 goals in 51 Bundesliga appearances since the start of last season for RB Leipzig and has previously been linked with a switch to Real Madrid.
Previous reports suggested the German club would hold out for up to €100m for the striker which may deter any deal for the Germany international – who has seven goals in 10 caps.
