Madrid reignite De Gea interest

Manchester United are attempting to ward off potential Real Madrid interest in David De Gea by putting a €130m price tag on the goalkeeper.

The Spain international’s current deal at Old Trafford ends in June 2019 while Diario Sport report Los Blancos are kickstarting their interest in the shot-stopper.

However, United are seeking to increase the 27-year-old’s contract at the club and will refuse to negotiate for less than €130m (£110m).

De Gea is understood to be happy at United but would be interested to hear of Madrid’s proposal, with the Spanish champions coming within minutes of signing the goalkeeper in 2015.

Madrid missed out on Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga – who renewed his deal at the San Mames – while they are also interested in Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois.
