Prosecutors are demanding Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez is jailed after he broke a restraining order placed upon him.
The French defender was found guilty on two counts of domestic violence in February last year and was banned for six months from contacting former girlfriend Amelia Ossa.
Spanish press agency EFE now reports prosecutors have acted on images showing the two travelling to New York in June – four months after the restraining order was put in place.
They now are seeking for a one-year prison sentence to be imposed upon the 21-year-old.
