Rangers legend Novo has heart attack

Rangers legend and Spanish forward Nacho Novo is in intensive care after suffering a heart attack.

According to reports in the British Press, Novo collapsed after a five-a-side match with Rangers legends in Berlin.

He was then rushed to hospital, where he underwent surgery and remains in intensive care, despite the operation proving successful.

Novo, who turns 39 in March, scored 73 goals in 255 games for Rangers between 2004 and 2010, winning three Leagues titles, one Scottish Cup and two Scottish League Cups.

He also played for Huesca and Sporting Gijon in Spain and is still active in professional football, although he has been without a club since leaving Northern Irish side Glentoran last summer.
