Espanyol striker Gerard Moreno has confirmed he has ‘not received any offers’ despite reports in Spain linking Villarreal with a move.
The 25-year-old joined the Catalan club in 2015 for €1.5m from Villarreal, who still retain 50% of his ownership rights and his contract at the RCDE Stadium runs until 2022.
“I'm very calm and I have not received any offers,” Moreno told Onda Cero.
“No offer has come in for me that I have been told about and I'm just focused on working and helping the team improve and continuing to move forward.”
He is believes to have a €40m release clause which will increase to €50m when the summer transfer window reopens this year, although due to the ownership structure – Villarreal would need to pay only half of that.
