Espanyol have received a €20m offer for striker Gerard Moreno, thought to be from Villarreal, who are looking to replace Cedric Bakambu.
El Mundo Deportivo cite a report in Pericosonline which states the Catalan club have received the offer from an unnamed club, with sides in England also thought to be interested.
The 25-year-old joined the Catalan club in 2015 for €1.5m from Villarreal, who still retain 50% of his ownership rights and his contract at the RCDE Stadium runs until 2022.
He is believes to have a €40m release clause which will increase to €50m when the summer transfer window reopens this year.
Ramon Robert, CEO of Espanyol, was quoted by the report as stating, “I will not rule out anything”, in relation to January transfer activity at the club.
