Marcelo: Madrid ‘spoiled’ people

Marcelo claims Real Madrid “have really spoiled” people and made them think “we always have to win” after their Clasico defeat to Barcelona.

Madrid fell 14 points behind Barca after a 3-0 loss at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, but Marcelo insists La Liga “isn’t lost” for his side and that the only difference between the two teams was the fact the Catalans had won more matches.

“The League isn’t lost. I don’t believe in miracles but hard work,” the left-back said after the game.

“We played well in the first half and came out the same in the second, but we conceded the goal, gave away the penalty and got the red card.

“If it’s difficult to play against Barca 11 v 11, imagine what it’s like with one less… Still, we showed our faces and ran.

“Isco a substitute? It’s a question for the Coach, not me. The difference between ourselves and Barcelona exists because they’ve won more matches, that’s it.

“We’ve really spoiled you and made you think that we always have to win. This is the best League in the world and it’s very difficult, but that’s football. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.”
