Nelson Semedo has revisited his early Barcelona training ground bust-up with Neymar, revealing the incident had ‘annoyed’ him.
The Portuguese full-back joined the Catalan giants in a €30m move from Benfica but quickly found himself at odds with the Brazilian forward in a training ground incident over the summer.
“At the time it really annoyed me,” Semedo explained to Portuguese outlet Mais Futebol.
“I had only arrived at the club and one of the most important players was in a fight with me, and at the time I had no idea he wished to leave, he was in a difficult moment.
“Everybody else in the squad had expected the move but it came as a shock to me, just as it did for the club’s fans.
“The incident did not set me back, and these things happen in training and I had the support of my teammates and my friends.”
