Malaga Coach Michel insists ‘winning is the best medicine’ for overcoming disappointment after the midweek Copa Del Rey exit to Numancia.
The Andalucian club crashed out of the Copa after Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at home to the Segunda side, and crashing out 3-2 on aggregate but have a chance to bounce back as they host Levante on Friday night.
“The best way to forget the Copa defeat is to win our next match,” Michel told reporters, as quoted by Marca.
“Defeats for the club are never welcome but the best way of overcoming such disappointment is to win straight away and move on as quickly as possible.
“The attitude in the group is very good but now all our focus is undivided on La Liga and we must make that count.
“Winning is the best medicine for the fans, the players, the staff and for me.
“Keeping a clean sheet is something we are working very hard on as it’s something we have not achieved yet this season and which we must correct.
“It’s important in every game but particularly against Levante as they are organised and disciplined, so every goal in this game will be vital.”
