Malaga are hopeful of concluding a loan deal for Valencia midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic in the January transfer window, say reports.
The 22-year-old moved to the Mestalla in July from Kazakhstani side FC Astana but his only start so far has come in the Copa Del Rey, alongside four substitute appearances in La Liga.
He has fallen down the pecking order following Geoffrey Kondogbia’s arrival, with the former of Dani Parejo, Carlos Soler and Andreas Pereira further limiting opportunities.
A report in Marca now states the Serbian is wanted by struggling Malaga, who will be in a position to offer him first-team football between January and the end of the season.
The player and both clubs are reportedly open to the move and it is expected to go through when the transfer window reopens.
