Out-of-favour Valencia midfielder Fabian Orellana has agreed a loan deal to join Eibar in January, both clubs have confirmed.
The Chilean international reportedly has not future at the Mestalla and indeed has only made a La Liga matchday squad once this season, but was an unused substitute.
The 31-year-old only joined Los Che from Celta Vigo earlier this year but new Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has no plans to retain him in the squad.
Eibar’s Fran Rico is set to be sidelined for a further six months and Orellana is viewed as a direct replacement.
“Valencia CF has reached an agreement in principle with SD Eibar for the loan of Fabian Orellana until the end of the season,” read a Valencia statement on Tuesday.
Valencia sit second in La Liga, four points behind league leaders Barcelona, while Eibar sit 15th in the standings.
