Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is confident the club will continue to grow in their ‘spectacular’ Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
The Slovenian goalkeeper was speaking ahead of Saturday’s derby match against Real Madrid, the first ever to be held at the newly-opened stadium in the capital.
“Of course this derby match is hugely important for all of us and for both clubs,” Oblak told Atletico’s official website.
“We will try to win the game of course but it is just a league match like all the others, we will try our best to please our fans and win the three points.
“Just like all the players, I feel pride at playing in the Wanda Metropolitano as it is a massive moment for the club to change stadiums.
“The Vicente Calderon was a great stadium of course but the Wanda is a spectacular one and will keep us on the path to success.”
