Barcelona have not had any contact with Roma regarding the sale of full-back Aleix Vidal, a member of the sporting directing team has confirmed.
Ariedo Braida has rejected claims linking the 28-year-old to the Italian club, who’s sporting director Monchi formerly signed Vidal for Sevilla from Almeria.
“I have no news on this and have not had any contact with Roma for the player,” Braida told LaRoma24.it.
Vidal has only appeared in 20 La Liga games since his move to the Camp Nou in the summer of 2015 from Los Rojiblancos, to whom he has also been linked with a possible return.
The full-back’s place in the squad has further diminished this season due to the arrival of Nelson Semedo from Benfica.
