Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez could leave the club after only six months after the club received a €20m offer from a Chinese club, say reports.
The Uruguayan striker only joined the Galician outfit in June from hometown club Defensor Sporting in a €4m deal, and has netted five goals in 10 La Liga appearances.
The 21-year-old was top scorer in the Uruguayan domestic league and his fine start to life at Estadio Balaidos – including a brace on his debut against Real Sociedad – earned him a first international call-up.
Celta are reportedly open to cashing in on the striker as they believe it offers strong market value which they can reinvest in their squad, according to Faro De Vigo.
However, the player – who is under contract until 2022 – is not thought to be eager to move away believing the move could come too early in his career.
