Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez could be on the move with Inter, Juventus and Manchester City all tracking the Uruguayan, say reports.
Gimenez’s release clause is set at €65m but at the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer when his contract expires, it is likely Los Rojiblancos would accept a cut-price deal if no new deal is struck.
FCInterNews state the Nerazzurri are keen on a deal having missed out on English-based central defenders Shkodran Mustafi and Eliaquim Mangala, both formerly of Valencia, this summer.
Italian champions Juventus and Manchester City are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old, who has made only four La Liga appearances this summer.
Gimenez started only twelve league games last season and is behind Diego Godin and Stefan Savic in Diego Simeone’s pecking order.
