Ernesto Valverde is considering handing a start to Barcelona B striker Jose Arnaiz for his side’s Copa Del Rey clash against Real Murcia.
The 22-year-old joined the side from Real Valladolid in the summer window for a €3.4m deal and has scored four goals in eight starts in La Liga 123.
The striker, who signed a three-year deal at the Camp Nou, also netted 12 times for the Blanquivioletas in the second tier last season and is now reported by Marca to have impressed first-team officials.
“I do not want to think about the first team, I know I should fight in the B team,” Arnaiz is quoted as telling reporters.
However, the report suggests both Arnaiz and out-of-favour Paco Alcacer could be used for the two-legged affair against third tier Murcia.
