Brazilian striker Willian Jose has extended his contract at Real Sociedad by a further year until June 2022, the club have confirmed.
The 25-year-old joined the Basque club last summer following loan spells at Real Madrid, Zaragoza and Las Palmas and has netted 16 goals in 39 appearances.
“I am excited to renew my stay at this club,” Willian told La Real’s official website.
“I’m delighted to be here, I love my colleagues, the staff and the city, while we are looking ahead to a very exciting season.
“We can fight to qualify for the Champions League this campaign and to make history, it is very exciting.
“It was fantastic to win the first four matches but while it was disappointing to lose against Real Madrid, we are looking forward to putting things right against Levante.”
