Ceballos not concerned over minutes

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos isn’t concerned about the lack of first-team action he is getting at his new club.

The 20-year-old moved to the Bernabeu from Real Betis earlier this summer but is yet to make a start for the club and replaced Isco with 20 minutes remaining against Apoel Nicosia on Wednesday.

“I knew the situation regarding gametime when I was arrived at the club,” Ceballos told BeIn Sports after the match.

“The Coach instils confidence in me and it allows me to continue working hard in order to play more minutes at this great club.

“Yes there are players in front of me at the moment but I always knew this, we are the champions of Spain and of Europe!

“But I’ve settled in very well and when you have so many quality teammates, everything is easier.”

Ceballos has been an unused substitute in each of Madrid’s three La Liga matches to date.
