Higuain in hot water for fans gesture?

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain could be slapped with a Champions League ban after making an offensive gesture toward Barcelona fans.

The Argentine, formerly of Barca’s arch rivals Real Madrid, was replaced in the 87th minute of the Old Lady’s 3-0 loss in the Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

As he made his way off the pitch he was met with whistles and jeers from the home fans with camera footage showing the 29-year-old raising his middle finger in response.

There is a precedent of bans for such instances: Roberto Mancini was given a one-match Serie A ban for that same gesture, while Luis Suarez was suspended when doing that for Liverpool against Fulham.
