Line-ups: Roma-Atleti

Sime Vrsajlko and Kevin Gameiro are nowhere to be seen in Atletico Madrid’s matchday squad against Roma, but Antoine Griezmann is back.

Vrsaljko picked up a knock in training and has not been risked, while Gameiro is seemingly dropped on technical grounds.

However, Griezmann returns after missing Atleti’s goalless draw at Valencia over the weekend through suspension.

Elsewhere, Stefan Savic is in ahead of Josema Gimenez at centre-back, Thomas Partey is preferred to Yannick Carrasco in midfield and Luciano Vietto keeps his place up top.

Roma, meanwhile, go with former Sevilla winger Diego Perotti on the left of a three-pronged attack, which also includes ex-Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.

This is the first time these two sides have met in the Champions League, while Los Rojiblancos last played the Italians in the 1998-99 UEFA Cup quarter-finals, winning 4-2 on aggregate.
