Manchester United have completed the signing of Spain youth international Arnau Puigmal from Espanyol, the player has confirmed.
The 16-year-old midfielder wrote the move was a ‘dream come true’ and is expected to join the Red Devils’ Under-18 side.
"Very happy and proud to announce that I am a new Manchester United player, a dream come true! It's time to work,” Puigmal wrote on his Instagram feed.
Puigmal joins other youth signings including Ethan Galbraith, Largie Ramazani, Di'Shon Bernard and Aliou Traore at Old Trafford.
Reports speculate the deal had been agreed in May but due to international clearance, the relevant forms have only now been completed.
