Digne aided victims of attacks

Barcelona defender Lucas Digne helped to tend to and aid victims of last week’s terrorist attack in the Catalan city, say multiple reports.

Radio station RAC1 reported the French defender, who lives close to the Placa de Catalunya, heard noises of distress from his apartment and immediately went to the scene with towels and water bottles.

The 24-year-old, who joined Barca from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, is refusing to comment on the events out of respect to the victims.

13 people were killed and over 100 others injured after a van drove down La Rambla boulevard, which was packed full of tourists, last Thursday.
