Real Madrid have reportedly rejected a €75m bid from Juventus for “untouchable” midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
According to AS, Juve are not expected to return with an improved offer as they signed Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain on Friday.
The newspaper explains Kovacic is in “great form” and that “it hasn’t gone unnoticed among ‘madridismo’”.
The Croat started both legs of the Supercopa against Barcelona and impressed, prompting Zinedine Zidane to single him out for praise after the first game at Camp Nou and regard him as “not for sale”.
He then received a rapturous ovation from Blancos fans when he was substituted in the return fixture.
