Stevan Jovetic is an ‘option’ for Sevilla but it is not an ‘obligation’ according to the club’s president Jose Castro.
Jovetic netted six goals in 21 appearances for Los Rojiblancos after a loan deal with the Milanese club in January but despite negotiations earlier this summer, no agreement for a permanent move was found.
“We’re missing a left-back and we’re considering different options for the end of the transfer window,” Castro told reporters ahead of his side’s 2-1 Champions league win at Istanbul Basakeshir.
“Until August 31 anything can happen, if the right opportunities arise then someone else can come in of course.
“Stevan Jovetic? I’ve already talked about this and have said he is only an option, not an obligation because our team is already complete.”
The Andalucians have already signed forwards Nolito and Luis Muriel this summer to compliment Wissam Ben Yedder.
