Alaves have completed the permanent signing of Brazilian central defender Rodrigo Ely from Milan on a four-year contract.
The 23-year-old initially joined the Basque club in January in a six-month loan deal, where he made 11 appearances – helping the club to a top-half finish and to the Copa Del Rey final.
The Rossoneri parted with €8m to sign the Brazilian from Avellino in 2015 but he only made four appearances for the Milanese club.
The former Italy youth international switched allegiance to Brazil and was capped at Under-23 level, and moves to the Mendizorrotza until June 2021.
