Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer believes it is crucial he and his teammates hit the ground running next season if they are to be successful.
Having moved from Valencia last summer, the Spain international suffered a tricky start to life at the Camp Nou in a disappointing campaign both in La Liga and the Champions League.
“It's clear that it was a friendly match but all we want to do is to win games," Alcacer is quoted as saying by Marca after Saturday's 2-1 friendly win over Juventus.
“We are professionals, it's obvious that we are not yet at 100%, but we are eager to have matches and get out of holiday mode.
“(Coach Ernesto) Valverde is very sensible and very sincere when facing the team which is really good.
“When you arrive as a new player, it is difficult to adapt to your new teammates, a new city, a new style of play …but thanks to the team and the staff you find your confidence and are more at ease, which is the most important thing.”
