Juve’s €20m Mangala bid?

Juventus have switched their focus on replacing Leonardo Bonucci to Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala, according to reports.

Marca cite a report in Tuttomercatoweb.com which states the Italian champions have not been put off by City’s €20m-valuation of the central defender who spent last season on loan at Valencia.

Sevilla are also on the market for a defender but the Manchester club’s asking price is said to have scuppered any chance of a deal being done.

Valencia reportedly held a clause in the loan deal which would allow them to sign the France international permanently in an €18m move but they simply did not have the finances or desire to push this through.

The 26-year-old scored twice in 30 appearances for Los Che last season.
