Jonas Martin has travelled to France to complete his medical with newly-promoted Ligue 1 club Strasbourg, say reports in Spain.
Estadio Deportivo say the midfielder said his farewells to his Real Betis teammates over the weekend and leaves Los Verdiblancos after one season.
The 27-year-old moved to the Seville-based club from Montpellier last summer for a reported €2.5m and the report states that Betis have recouped a similar amount with his sale.
Turkish club Bursaspor had also been linked to the Frenchman but he had reportedly instructed Betis to let him return to his home country having made 22 appearances for the Andalucians.
Despite 13 first-team squad players already leaving the club this summer, Betis are said to be keen on shifting on more players ahead of the new season.
