Alvaro Negredo is close to leaving Valencia for Besiktas as Los Che seek to balance their books and the striker looks for a fresh start.
Super Deporte cites a report from the Turkish arm of BeIn Sports that claims the move is ‘imminent’ as Valencia have given the go-ahead in order to get Negredo’s wages off the books.
The Coach of Besiktas, Senol Gunes, needs to approve the signing but once he does, Negredo is expected to complete the transfer despite having turned down approaches from Turkey in the past.
Super Deporte notes Negredo also rejected offers from China but after a disappointing spell at Middlesbrough, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of Negredo’s season-long loan, he will this time accept, providing there aren’t any more attractive offers in the meantime.
