El Clasico and derby dates revealed

Barcelona will host Real Madrid in the final La Liga matchday before Christmas before the return El Clasico on the third-from-last round of games.

The Camp Nou fixture looks set to be rearranged due to Madrid’s participation in the Club World Cup in December, with the return fixture set to be pivotal in the title race.

Atletico Madrid’s new Wanda Metropolitano stadium will host the first Madrid derby of the season on the twelfth round of fixtures, scheduled for November 19, with the return fixture scheduled for April 8.

Both Barca and Los Blancos face extremely testing final day fixtures with the Catalans hosting Real Sociedad with Zinedine Zidane’s men travelling to Villarreal.

Sevilla will host the first Seville derby in the first matchday after Christmas in week 18, with Eduardo Berizzo’s men travelling to their fierce neighbours on the penultimate matchday.

Betis’s new-look 60,000 Benito Villamarin stadium will host it’s first competitive fixture on matchday two, when Los Verdiblancos host Celta Vigo.

Deportivo La Coruna will host the first Galician derby of the season in matchday 17 on December 20, with the return fixture at Celta's Balaidos on May 6.
