Valencia full-back Jose Luis Gaya (pictured right) is on Italian club Roma’s list of summer transfer targets, according to reports.
Plaza Deportiva cites a report in Il Messagero which states the 22-year-old is being considered by the Giallorossi to strengthen the left-back position and is their secondary option should they fail to land Antonio Barreca from Torino.
The left-back is apparently favoured by Roma sporting director Monchi who is planning to spend around €18m on his services.
Los Che are said to have no intention of including Gaya in their summer sales which has already seen a host of departures including Diego Alves, Mathew Ryan and Enzo Perez.
Valencia Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral is said to highly rate Gaya, who starred as part of the Spain Under 21 squad in the European Championships final.
