Celta Vigo will attempt to sign Heerenveen winger and Sweden international Sam Larsson after missing out on Nolito, say reports in Spain.
According to Marca, the Galicians are prepared to pay €6m for the 24-year-old to increase their Scandinavian contingent at Balaidos.
"He is a great player who has proved his worth for years, but we have more options ,” the club’s sporting director Felipe Minambres is quoted as saying by Marca.
Larsson has scored once in three caps for his country and 24 times in 96 appearances for the Eredivisie side, whom he joined from IFK Gothenburg in 2014.
His international teammate John Guidetti plays for the club, as do Danish trio Pione Sisto, Daniel Wass and Andrew Hjulsager.
Celta have already signed midfield duo Jozabed and Stanislav Lobotka this summer, along with Uruguayan striker Maxi Lopez.
