Celta Vigo could miss out on a deal for Heerenveen winger and Sweden international Sam Larsson after a late move from Fiorentina, say reports.
The 24-year-old’s move to Estadio Balaidos was reported by Marca last week as being ‘very close’ with Celta negotiating with the Eredivisie side for a €6m deal.
However, the Serie A giants are now said to have entered the fray for the winger and are now in discussions with his agent.
“I know his brother very well and this morning he told me the player’s agent is in Italy to finish a deal with Fiorentina,” Swedish reporter Thomas Wilbacher told Radio Blu.
“However, Celta Vigo are also very interested in Larsson.”
Larsson has scored once in three caps for his country and 24 times in 96 appearances for the Dutch side, whom he joined from IFK Gothenburg in 2014.
