Bayern Munich Coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted being reunited with his former Real Madrid player James Rodriguez was ‘a special moment’ for him.
The Italian was in charge at the Bernabeu when the Colombian was signed from Monaco in the summer of 2014 and the two were together for a season at Madrid before Ancelotti’s dismissal.
"It's a special moment for me – we enjoyed great experiences together,” Ancelotti stated at the player’s unveiling on Wednesday.
"Everyone knows his qualities and he will improve us. He is a great attacking midfielder, a special player and will find a good position in our team – he can play in every attacking position.
"Of course there's greater competition for places. However that should motivate everyone. It's not a problem for me to leave a player on the bench.
"Every stage of your career, all the experiences can you help you grow as a player.
"He didn't play regularly last season but that can perhaps motivate him to have even more desire to achieve the breakthrough here."
