Neymar is hopeful Barcelona complete a deal for Brazil international teammate and Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Paulinho.
The Catalans reportedly had an opening offer of €20m rejected by the Chinese Super League club for the 28-year-old but are expected to increase that bid this week.
"Paulinho is a friend of mine in football,” Neymar is quoted by AS as telling reporters in the mixed zone after a friendly match in Brazil.
“I want him to sign for Barca because with a player like him, who's also a mate of mine, we'll get so much."
Since moving to China in 2014, Paulinho has helped his side to six trophies whilst strengthening his position in the Brazil national team.
Described as a box-to-box midfielder, he could be an ideal fit for the Blaugrana who are reportedly planning to sell both Arda Turan and Andre Gomes this summer.
