Espanyol are set to complete the signing of Real Sociedad midfielder Esteban Granero, according to reports in Spain.

Marca state the 30-year-old will sign a two-year deal with the Catalan club and despite still having a year left on his La Real deal, is set to move on a free transfer.

The former Real Madrid midfielder joined La Real from Queens Park Rangers in 2014 and despite making 71 La Liga appearances, has failed to reach double figures in league starts in each of the past two seasons.

Granero joins Sergio Garcia, Diego Lopez, Pablo Piatti and Leo Bapistao in completing permanent transfers to the RCDE Stadium this summer.
